The Law Of Attraction – Make It Work Today!

Posted by admin | Posted in Attraction | Posted on 20-06-2010

We have been hearing a lot online and offline about the Law of Attraction.  Even Oprah Winfrey is a believer in it. However, many people want to believe but just can’t seem to get it to work or don’t know how to work. Well I’m here to show you how to!

All the ancient texts and religious writings speak of it. Poets, teachers and sages have preached the good news of it for thousands of years. Books have been written about it. Songs have been song about it and people have made a fortune teaching it. But do you know enough about it to use it? The Law Of Attraction is probably the most powerful Universal Principle we know of, do you think, perhaps, you should learn a little more about it and maybe even use it to create your dreams?

The Law Of Attraction at its very basic level states that everything is created by thought and that thought attracts to itself physical things, people, situations and circumstances. Your predominant thoughts are activating the Law of Attraction this very moment and bringing these things into your life!

However, we do not just create and attract the material things that enter our lives, we also create the body we occupy, the personality we display and, ultimately, the person we are and we do it all through our thoughts. Are you creating the life you desire & becoming the person you wish to be or are you like Job and bringing upon you all manner of woes because you are giving your attention to them? Perhaps you are even identifying yourself as a victim and refusing to acknowledge the Law and use it consciously!

The Law Of Attraction is not as big a Secret, as the hit movie would have you believe. Having been in existence since the very begining of time, it is an unyielding, never bending, unbreakable Universal Rule. You cannot escape it! There is a great body of evidence that suggests mankind has known about, and utilised, the great Law for about 7000 years. But these teachings were hidden for thousands of years by those people who wished to control the population. Through hiding the laws of the universe and the knowledge that we create our own realities these dogmatic leeches could keep all the power for themselves and ensure no-one opposed their rule. The great Law Of Attraction was actually banned in the past.

It was largely at the beginning of the 20th century that the general public started to become aware of this great law due to the diligence, fortitude, integrity and grace of writers such as James Allen (1864-1912), Napoleon Hill (1883-1970) and Charles Haanel (1866-1949).

Wallace D. Wattles, born in 1860 and died in 1911, was also a forward thinking man. In his great work “The Science of Getting Rich” Wattles states a great truth, “There is a thinking stuff from which all things are made, which, in its original state, permeates, penetrates, and fills the inter-spaces of the universe. A thought in this substance produces the thing that is imaged by the thought.” How revolutionary that statement was in 1910.

Haanel set out in a 24 part correspondence course, which is now condensed into one volume called “The Master Key System”, a complete guide to successfully using the Law Of Attraction! It was banned by the Church in 1933 due to its revelations. This is allegedly the book Bill Gates read before he created Microsoft!

Napoleon Hill revealed Andrew Carnegie’s great Secret to the world – that thoughts create things – when he wrote “Think & Grow Rich” in 1937 (although it had taken him 25 years to complete).

James Allen wrote his famous work in 1912 and in “As a Man Thinketh” he tells people that “mind is the master-weaver, both of the inner garment of character and the outer garment of circumstance, and that, as they may have hitherto woven in ignorance and pain they may now weave in enlightenment and happiness.”

However, although the teachings have been around for thousands of years and they have been readily and easily available to the general public for almost a century the great majority of people do not take the time to learn the workings of probably the most powerful physical law in the Universe.

I think you owe it to yourself to delve deeper into this mysterious Universe and learn as much as you can about the laws that govern your life. When you truly understand the Law Of Attraction and begin to work with it for you personal advantage, I promise you, your life will change in fantastic, unexpected and unlimited ways.

Begin now to utilise this gift and construct in your imagination the life you really want to live. Seek out ways to remove your own inner resistance and limiting beliefs.

Using Feedback To Improve Performance

Posted by admin | Posted in Main Content | Posted on 28-05-2010

Executive coach and author Marshall Goldsmith wrote, “Feedback is a gift that only other can give.”  If that is so, why do so many people have trouble giving and receiving feedback?
Much of the difficulty people have with feedback is actually about power. When we give feedback we may really be trying to control people. Our resistance to receiving feedback is possibly a resistance to change.

It can be helpful to get clear on the purpose of feedback before we give it.  Below are the five most common types of feedback and suggestions for giving each type.

Evaluation Feedback: Evaluation Feedback is the most common that you will find in the workplace. But is also the kind that doesn’t help very much. Evaluation feedback always happens at the end. When the performance year is over. After a week-long class is over. The end of a project.  Sure it’s helpful for all us to gauge how we did, and we may use evaluation feedback to improve next time.  But why not give and get feedback when we can learn from it real time?

Real-Time Performance Feedback: This type of feedback generally comes from a boss or someone whose own success depends on you.  While it may be couched as an observation or something for you to think about, when someone shares performance feedback, they intend for you to change your behavior.

When you sense that someone is trying to give performance feedback, it may help you both to get very clear.  Try asking, “what exactly would you like me to stop or start doing?” Once you get the feedback, make the change!

Fine-Tuning: Fine-tuning feedback generally comes from people who are satisfied with the overall job you are doing, but see some areas you could tweak to get even better. One of the best examples of fine-tuning feedback I ever received was from a course participant.  She let me know how much she got out of the course, and then asked if she could give me some feedback.  She then went on to explain that when I nodded my head while she and others were talking she felt rushed.  WOW!  This blew me away because I had no idea that my behavior was having this negative impact.

The key to giving fine-tuning feedback is to share the impact a behavior has on you or others.  The person who is giving you feedback doesn’t want to change you or even to control you in some way. By sharing how your behavior is impacting them – they give the receiver the opportunity to change or not.

Feed-Forward: Goldsmith came up with this one years ago. It means giving someone suggestions in advance about how to behave rather than waiting for them to fail and beating them up afterward. For example, my husband had a presentation to give to the executive leadership committee at work, which was the first time he ever did anything like that.  His boss coached him in advance as to the proper way to dress, when he would be expected to speak, and even how detailed to make his presentation.

Slap Upside the Head: Two years ago, a colleague who is also a great friend sat me down and said, “You are making yourself and others miserable.  What do you think you’re doing?”

Slap upside the head feedback should be reserved for only the best of friends.  It consists of observations about you, that people share with you because they care about you. In his book, Who’s Got Your Back, Keith Ferrazzi gives some great examples of this feedback along with the assertion that we all desperately need people in our lives who care enough to give it.

A person giving slap upside the head feedback isn’t giving it with the intent of controlling you or even to change you because it matters to the person giving the feedback. they give the feedback knowing what your objectives are for your life and they see that your behavior is keeping you from reaching them.
Summary
Those giving feedback:  Think through before giving feedback what the most appropriate form would be to achieve the intention you have for it.Don’t forget that if you are not someone’s superior, it is not appropriate to give evaluation feedback.  You can lead a horse to water . . .

Feedback Receivers: We all suffer from a lack of self-awareness at times and feedback is the only way we can learn what our blind spots are.   View the feedback as a gift, even if you decide you don’t agree with it. If it’s evaluation or performance feedback, you have a chance to change in order to do better in the eyes of others.  If it’s fine-tuning or slap upside the head feedback, you have the choice to change or not.

Dealing With Potentially Violent Situations

Posted by admin | Posted in Main Content | Posted on 13-05-2010

Understanding how to defend yourself when confronted with violence is a crucial form of survival. Basic principles and sound reason are fundamental aspects of self defense, yet, sadly, most people don’t apply them. Perhaps the best way to defend yourself in a fight is to avoid it at all costs. Walking away is always advisable if the situation permits it. Adhering to a few basic principles will keep you safe and sound most of the time…

- Leave the confrontation. This strategy is the best possible defense if you find yourself in a scenario where violence could ensue. If possible, yell for help. There is usually someone around who will hear you yelling and, as human curiosity often gets the best of us, someone will always come to assist you. Don’t worry about your reputation; worry more about your physical well being. Calling out alone may be enough to make the attacker think twice, and if they stand their ground then it’s time for you to walk or run away.

- Phone the police. Although this is perhaps the slowest method of diffusing the fight, it is a good things to do, at least as a back-up plan. Call 911 and let them know a physical fight may occur and you will defend yourself if necessary. If you’re unsure where you are, simply give them some physical descriptions of your surroundings or perhaps the local cross-streets. The quicker they find you the quicker they can halt the physical confrontation.

- Be rational. Normally, physical confrontations are preceded by verbal attacks and insults which can get us heated in anger. Ignore them and focus on the actual reason you are fighting. Using phrases such as “Lets not fight over something silly” or “No good can come from this situation” are great pacifiers. Use these saying to your advantage. Try to make it clear that they have nothing to gain from fighting, rather than speaking in a condescending manner or as if you are afraid.

What Innovation Can Do to Your Life

Posted by admin | Posted in Innovation | Posted on 28-02-2010

Innovation is a talent that everyone has, yet they think they don’t.

It’s a talent that everyone has, yet they think they don’t. The power of innovation. If you’ve ever marvelled at somebody’s creative prowess, guess what, you can create and innovate too. It just takes time. Everyone is born creative. The box of crayons in kindergarten were not limited to those who possessed potential; because the truth is, everybody has potential.

You know how long it took to learn to ride a bike or drive or to never commit the same mistake again? It’s the same with innovation. It takes a  bit of practice and a lot of time before this mind function comes easily  when called. This article will teach you a few tips on how to bring innovation into your life.

Don’t listen to what other people say. Follow the beat of your own drum. Allowing for the input of other people will only bring cacophony to the music you are trying to make. If you have an original idea, don’t waste your time and effort trying to make people understand. They won’t. And the help you will probably get comes in the form of negative feedback. If all those geniuses listened to their peers, we would probably still be living in the middle ages.

Spend time on it. I cannot stress that enough, although, please do not mistake this tip to tell you to quit your day job entirely. Do not. This involves some tricky time management but with a little discipline you’ll be able to squeeze both in.

Exercise. Take a walk. Run a mile or two. Send all those endorphins coursing through your veins. Exercising certainly clears and relaxes your mind and allows for anything to pop up.

Record your dreams. Aren’t some of them just the craziest things that your conscious mind would never have thought of? If you’ve had these dreams before, and I’m sure have, this only shows you the untapped innovative power you have lying within. So jot down those notes. Those dreams may just create an innovative spark in you.

Find your own style. You can always tell a Van Gogh from a Matisse. You’ll know Hemingway wrote something by the choice of words on the paper. So it is the same with you. People will appreciate your innovation more because it is uniquely yours and that no one else would have thought of what you were thinking. That will let people see how valuable an asset you are.

Don’t hide behind nifty gadgets or tools. You don’t need the most expensive set of paints to produce a masterpiece. The same way with writing. You don’t need some expensive fountain pen and really smooth paper for a bestseller. In fact, J.K. Rowling wrote the first book of the Harry Potter Series on bits of tissue. So what if you’ve got an expensive SLR camera if you’re a crappy photographer? Who cares if you’ve got a blinging laptop if you can’t write at all? The artist actually reduces the number of tools he has as he gets better at his craft: he knows what works and what doesn’t.

Nothing will work without passion. What wakes you up in the mornings? What keeps the flame burning? What is the one thing that you’ll die if you don’t do? Sometimes people with talent are overtaken by the people who want it more. Think the hare and the tortoise. Ellen Degeneres once said that if you’re not doing something that you want to do, then you don’t really want to do it. And that’s true. Sometimes you just want something so bad you become a virtual unstoppable. And that is passion. Passion will keep you going.

Don’t worry about inspiration. You can’t force it; inspiration hits when you least expect it to, for those unpredictable yet inevitable moments you should prepare. An idea could strike you on the subway, yet alas, you poor unfortunate soul; you have no sheet of paper to scribble down a thought that could change the world. Avoid these disasters. Have a pen and paper within your arm’s reach at all times.

I hope this article has helped you bring more innovation into your life. Keep in mind that you’re doing these things for your own satisfaction and not anybody else’s. But soon enough they will notice, and everything should snowball from there.

A discussion on self hypnosis meditation and universal law of attraction for self development

Posted by admin | Posted in Uncategorized | Posted on 19-02-2010

the law of attraction

When it comes to personal development those who are experts in the personal development field readily agree that there is more that we do not know when compared to what we actually comprehend. It is partly down to this item that many people turn to hypnosis for weight loss to help them in miscellaneous aspects of their life when we see more and more people getting involved in self development. The brain is indeed a powerful
characteristic and when we look at the functioning of the intellect and how powerful it is along with all of the available connections – it is no wonder that the brain as accessed by using quit smoking with hypnosis is able to figure out all of our problems.

There are various research in the field of hypnosis to lose weight and with more and more available data for individuals at large, we will all be able to actually use the available tools to take our lives to the next level. Closely correlated to weight control hypnosis there has been a great deal of attention to power of the subconscious mind and how this operates in conjunction with stop smoking with hypnosis to assist us in miscellaneous areas of our lives. Closely considering the conscious and subconscious mind moves us forward and when examined; all in common is that fact that it is how we utilise our miraculous minds to figure out what we need to do next in order to get to the desired goals in life.

For sure, most of us aim to be, do and have more in our lives and it makes sense to work with all of the available tools with the use of our brain that we can to get to where we amin to get to in as fast as time as possible. For sure, the differing studies and deeper comprehension that we have in the areas of quantum physics and neuro science are really helping to take the personal development field as related to power of the subconscious mind and how to do self hypnosis to the next level and; when everything is considered together with what we have knowledge of – that is a good aspect for all.
