Working Towards Your Dreams And Aspirations

Posted by admin | Posted in Main Content | Posted on 17-04-2010

Everybody has dreams and aspirations they want to do. Some of these dreams are small, while others are enormous. But, regardless of how big they are, everyone should have the chance to accomplish them.

Some may start with a laptop that has an LED backlight, which in itself has endless possibilities. If you want to become a writer, filmmaker, photographer, or even a web designer, that’s one of the first things you get.

Some may even start with an Alvarez acoustic guitar–mainly those who want to be songwriters, singers, and musicians. But the most important thing to start with, is a goal. There are elderly people who sigh away the rest of their lives because they never got to accomplish their dreams when they were younger. You don’t want to be there! Start now, while you are young and have a big life ahead of you. Here are some tips to help you get started on the road to your dreams:

Education. Before you can accomplish some dreams, you need the education to get there. For physics, or paleontology, you have to have an education in those areas to become a scientist in them. Even education in acting, computer science, or creative writing is helpful, making you better at it than you are. With so many colleges, grants, classes, and scholarships available in the world today, education is right at our fingertips–more than ever. If you have a chance to get a better education that helps you with your dreams, you need to jump at it.

Determination. Many people get started on their dreams and when the road gets too lonely or rough they just give up. You’ll never get anywhere doing that! You have to have a steady determination. Who cares what work and strain you have to go through to get there. The end is always worth it! So don’t give up no matter how hard it is. When you’re accomplishing your dream, you’ll be happy about all the work you went through, and be thankful you didn’t give up.

Support. Sometimes, people reject others simply because of the dreams they pursue, or they may not reject you, but just not support you. But, even so, there is always a few that will be there and support you. That’s always wonderful to have, and very helpful, as they help you to be strong when you’re weak, get up when you fall down, and to keep on going, even though its hard. Friends are important; make sure you keep them, and keep them close.

Although you do all these things, some dreams are still next to impossible–or, so people say. You’ll need to ignore status quo, insults, everything, and possibly, everyone, that tries to bring you down. Just keep your eyes on your goal, moving ever forward, never backward. Even if you just have some scrapbook pages to start with, sooner or later, if you work hard enough, and never give up, you’ll get to the place you want to be. It just takes effort, time, and sometimes, money, and you’ll accomplish your dreams, living the life you always just hoped for. Have fun, and good luck!

The A-Z Of Motivation

Posted by admin | Posted in Motivation | Posted on 22-03-2010

A light hearted A-Z of ideas, tips and tricks to help you get motivated, stay motivated, and achieve your goals.

Pain may sometimes be the reason why people change. Getting bad grades make you realize that you need to study. Debts remind you of your inability to look for a source of income. Being humiliated gives you the ‘push’ to speak up and fight for yourself to save your face from the next embarrassment. It may be a bitter experience, a friend’s tragic story, a great movie, or an inspiring book that will help you to get up and get just the right amount of motivation you need in order to improve yourself.

With all the people trying to pull you down and waiting for you to fail, how can you stay motivated and positive?

Try this A to Z of tips for motivation

A – Achieving your dreams. Avoid negative people, things and places because they will only drag you down. Eleanor Roosevelt once said, “The future belongs to those who believe in the beauty of their dreams.”

B – Believe in your self, and in what you can do. Believe in your possibilities and your dreams. Every advancement of humankind has taken place because someone believed in themselves.

C – Consider all of the angles and aspects of everything you encounter, whether it is people or situations. Motivation comes from strength of purpose. Being able to see both points of view will give you more chance of being successful and keeping those around you motivated too.

D – Don’t give up and don’t give in. Every successful person from J K Rowling to Walt Disney to Sylvester Stallone to Thomas Edison had multiple failures before being successful. Sometimes their failures or rejections ran into the hundreds before they achieved success.

E – Enjoy. Work as if you don’t need money. Dance as if nobody’s watching. Love as if you never cried. Learn as if you’ll live forever. Motivation takes place when people are happy.

F – Family and Friends. Use your family and friends to help you stay motivated. The big football teams have cheerleaders and fans to encourage them. Your family and friends can be your cheerleaders and fans. Use them to keep you going when you feel your motivation drifting.

G – Give that little bit extra. Self improvement happens everywhere all the time, whether you are at home, at work or at school. Anthony Robbins tells us that the difference in effort between excellent and outstanding is miniscule, yet the difference in rewards is massive. Giving that little bit extra can put you into the outstanding.

H – Hang on to your dreams. There may be times when it looks bleak, but hang on to your dreams. The night is darkest just before the dawn. It is at this moment that you are closest to success and 95% of people will give up. Push through this moment and you’ll achieve your dreams.

I – Ignore those who try to destroy you. Don’t get involved in their dramas or toxicity – just walk away. Surround yourself with people who will encourage and support you. Remove those who want to pull you down and watch you fail from your life. You’ll find it much easier to stay motivated.

J – Joy and gratitude. Perhaps two of the fundamentals for motivation and success is to be joyful in what you do and grateful for what you have.

K – Keep pushing forwards no matter how hard life may seem. In the toughest moments you can choose to move forwards or to run away. It’s your decision – one path brings you closer to the success, the other takes you away from it. Which do you want to follow?

L – Learn to love your self. This isn’t as easy as it sounds for most people, but by loving yourself you will be happier and more motivated because you will believe you deserve what you achieve.

M – Make things happen. Motivation and success doesn’t come from sitting in front of the television drinking coke and eating pizza. Take action and you’ll achieve your dreams.

N – Never lie, cheat or steal. Always play a fair game. At the end of the day, if you live a dishonest life, it will come back to you. Living an honest, fair life allows you to be proud of what you do.

O – Open your eyes. Everyone has a set of blinkers that they wear and see everything through them, i.e. how they would like things to be. Look at life with open eyes and see things how they are, and see them how you want them to be. Then take action to make it happen.

P – Practice makes perfect. The more you practice, the better you become. A top sportsman doesn’t reach their status through a single practice or game. They practice harder and longer than anyone else, and as such, are rewarded more than anyone else.

Q – Quitters never win. And winners never quit. So, which do you want to be?

R – Ready yourself. Always be ready to take advantage of the opportunities and situations presented to you. Prepare in advance, and ignore the voice telling you to put it off until tomorrow. Remember, it wasn’t raining when Noah built the ark!

S – Stop procrastinating. You can put it all off until tomorrow, but one day there will be no more tomorrows. Start procrastinating about procrastinating and do tomorrows jobs today.

T – Take control of your life. Discipline and self control are synonymous with motivation. So many people believe their lives are out of their control. Look at your life in detail and you’ll discover you have more areas under your control than you think.

U – Understand others. If you know very well how to talk, you should also learn how to listen. You have two ears and one mouth for a reason. Understand others and strive to be understood.

V – Visualise it. Your sub-conscious knows no difference between your imagination and reality, so if you rehearse your success in your mind, then your sub-conscious will believe in it and make it happen.

W – Want it more than anything. Every successful person has had a burning desire to achieve their goals. The Wright brothers didn’t invent the aeroplane because there was nothing on the television. They had a burning desire to succeed and kept going, even in the face of setbacks.

X – X Factor is what will make you different from the others. When you are motivated, you tend to put on “extras” on your life like extra time for family, extra help at work, extra care for friends. This X-Factor sets you aside from the crowd and marks you out for success.

Y – You are unique. No one in this world looks, acts, thinks or talks like you. Value your unique gifts, whatever they are and use them for your success.

Z – Zero in on your dreams and make it happen!!!

Free Tips To Help You To Attain Your Targets In Life

Posted by admin | Posted in Uncategorized | Posted on 02-03-2010

About four years ago I discovered the many benefits of setting targets and goals. I thought about what I wanted to be and which course I wanted my life to take. I wrote out three different lists of my aims for the future.

The first list included what I wanted to achieve within the next twelve months. The second list contained what I wanted to achieve within five years and the third list was my lifetime goals.

One of my goals was to do with my composite front doors business. I wanted to ensure that the world would get to know about the fact that I offer affordable composite doors.

I feel it is important to write down these targets as it helps you to keep a kind of focus of what you are attempting to do.

Invest time and money to reach your goals

I now had a determination to succeed and was willing to work hard to achieve my goals. I was very much aware that I would have to work very hard to achieve anything in life. One of my aims was to overcome stuttering. To achieve success I had to leave no stone unturned and I had to believe in my ability to kill my demons. I decided to ease up on myself and to even have monthly treats to keep me and my body happy. I went to see a refloxologist and a few weeks later I went to see an aromatherapist. The stutter which had affected my life since I had been a young child was eventually eradicated but only after a lot of hard work.

Avoid negative people

There are people out there who try to bring me down. They attempt to do this by off the cuff comments they make or just by the way they seem to look down on me. They look at me as If I am worthless and some kind of loser. These type of people have caused me many sleepless nights and have had a negative affect on my self-confidence.

Life is now good and my business career has now taken off and I am now working with a company who offer a cost reduction strategy which I have to say is very enjoyable.

I hope that you have found this article interesting and of benefit.

Setting Goals?

Posted by admin | Posted in Main Content | Posted on 18-02-2010

When you have determined where you want your life to be in a couple months or even five years, it will have a strong impact on what goals you will be setting for yourself in the years to come. A short term goal could be as simple as passing your classes to getting your homework done and turned in on time each day. Setting long term goals can help you achieve things you want to see happen a couple years from now. Going on vacation to another country you haven’t been to and exploring the culture and sights, completing your paper for reading class that is due in a couple months, and climbing the Rocky Mountains in Colorado and being able to say that you accomplished your goals. *Whether the goal is simple or hard you can go through a couple or many steps to achieve the goal that you set for yourself to accomplish in a semester to a couple years from now. what do you think of this? anything that I could add or change? thanks.
